How to get cheap gig tickets

Most students love to attend gigs. The average student, however, earns £112 a week and with cheap gig tickets sometimes hard to find, and certain events exceeding prices of £130, it’s clear that seeing your favourite acts can eat into your ‘fun’ fund.

For example – if you were to buy tickets via Ticketmaster to see Beyoncé who is performing at Manchester (Emirates Old Trafford) on Tuesday the 5th July it would cost at least £81.25.

What about the larger weekend festivals such as Isle of White Festival 2016? If you’re looking to go here, the cost is even higher at £208.20 for a weekend pass and camping.

Or perhaps you would like to go to Reading Festival 2016. Ticketmaster’s best price for a weekend ticket is £213 plus an additional £20 for early bird entry.

Cheap gig tickets are difficult to come by – in fact, the price seems to go up and up every year.
